Last season the three relegated clubs all gain promotion back to the Championship
Last season Wigan, Blackburn and Rotherham the three relagated clubs the previous season were all promoted back to the Championship. Coincidence some may say, but is this a trend that is following a similar pattern in the Premier league and Championship?
At has long been considered that clubs promoted to the Premier league and with the exception of a few many are relegated straight away.
Undoubtedly, Wigan and Blackburn had the biggest budgets and Rotherham had the legacy of proven Championship players and pedigree.
Is the gap getting wider?
If we consider Sundaerland for a moment, The Black Cats will receive £35m from the Premier League this season and next, and then in the 2019-20 season they will receive a further £14m.
